WHO IS RAPRUESIGN?
Hello Everyone! My name is Raphael Castillo, also known as RAPRUESIGN. I am a 24 year old, Filipino-Canadian, born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. I specialize in mixed media animation and digital collage work, but I also work on video editing and concept covers, poster design and shirt designs.
At a young age, I was always so fascinated by art and design. Anyone that knew me at an early age could always find me doodling on any piece of paper given to me. This love for art never went away and I became constantly more obsessed with all things design.
Before specializing in mixed media animation and gaining a bigger following on social media, most of my design work was made for personal use as I was obsessed with creating art for things I loved. I created posters and vintage shirt designs for myself and my space, and soon created for others.
Most of my art influence was from media and art of things I loved growing up. I have always loved the NBA, music, video games and streetwear. While growing up in the 2000's, media was always so colorful, crazy and full of character. I remember falling in love with old advertisement posters for the NBA and Nike, or gazing at PS2 video game covers. There was something about that era of media and art that had a charm. It was the type of art that made you know that the art was coming from a place of love and care for it.
Fast forward to today, I was able to gain a decent following for my mixed media animation, gathering sports and music fans alike. I have been able to stay interactive and close to my followers through constant content uploads and daily updates on my stories. Producing content on an almost daily schedule has helped me to gain attention from famous athletes, organizations and agencies.
As of a result, I was able to work for some clients such as the NBA, NFL, Disney, Wimbledon, the Boston Celtics, Lewis Hamilton, and much more! I am always looking to work for new and exciting clients, so if you think that is you, check my contact page and lets make work!
